Sør-Trøndelag University College was established in 1994 by merging eight colleges in Trondheim. With 7 000 students it is the third largest university college in Norway, and one of the two dominant academic institutions in Trondheim. The college offers a wide range of bachelor's and master's programmes as well as continuing education programmes and other courses.
The University College has seven faculties, located at five different campuses in Trondheim.
