DTU Nanotech

DTU Nanotech - the
Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology - is a department at the
Technical University of Denmark situated in Kongens Lyngby ten
kilometres north of Copenhagen. Established in 1990, DTU Nanotech is a
centre of excellence in micro- and nanotechnology exploiting sciences
across the traditional boundaries of technology, thereby enabling
innovative solutions for the benefit of society.
We promote academic excellence by fostering a
team-based scientific environment building on the passion, talent and
skills of our international and cross-disciplinary staff. We apply
micro- and nanotechnology within the life sciences, environment
& energy and sensing technologies.
DTU Nanotech has a budget of 119 mio. DKK (roughly 16
mio. Euro) and participates in more than 70 collaborative research
projects. As of October 2008, DTU Nanotech has 165 people on its staff.
With 40 % non-Danes, the department constitutes an international
environment.
