The RSUC Master programme invites experienced professionals to explore and improve educational practice. It offers a broad introduction in educational theory and research methods. The programme was founded in 2005, and aims at developing and furthering the transformative, sustainable and caring aspects of education, including Waldorf pedagogy. Associate/Assistant Professor in Education at Rudolf Steiner University College
Two part time positions, one 50% and one 25% as Associate/Assistant Professors within the field of education are available in the Rudolf Steiner University College Master programme, from the 1st of August 2012.
The RSUC Master programme invites applications for two faculty positions in Education. We seek individuals who work at the nexus of educational research and practice. Candidates should preferably hold a PhD in education or equivalent, but applicants with a master degree will also be considered. Additionally, candidates with knowledge and/or experience in Waldorf Education are especially encouraged to apply. The 50% position can possibly be augmented with a part time position within the RSUC bachelor programmes in Waldorf teacher- and preschool teacher education.
Faculty members at the RSUC Master programme are expected to contribute to several tasks within the programme. This ranges from lecturing at the course sessions, mentoring, assessing student assignments, taking part in staff meetings and contributing to administrational tasks. In addition, faculty will be asked to contribute to the overall development of the programme, as well as expanding its national and international network and research activities. The new faculty members are expected to stay at course sessions approximately six weeks (50% position) and three weeks (25% position) respectively. All instruction/teaching and discussions are held in English, whilst written assignments and the master thesis can be delivered in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, German or English.
