PhD Position in Neuroscience
The project, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), sets out to examine the role of chromatin-remodeling factor in higher brain functions by using conditional knockout models. By employing large-scale bioinformatics approaches (transcriptome profiling, ChIP-seq), electrophysiological, cell biological and histological techniques, as well as a battery of behavioral assays the project aims at comprehensive characterization of its function at molecular, cellular, synaptic and animal behavioral level.
We invite highly motivated students with a Master certificate in biology, biochemistry, medicine or any related discipline to apply for this position. A strong background in genetics, cellular and molecular biology is required. An interest and/or basic knowledge in neuroscience will be an advantage. We are looking for independent, responsible and team-oriented candidates with excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
