Postdoc in cancer research: biochemist/molecular biologist (f/m)
We are seeking a highly motivated and outstanding postdoc to join us for a project in the elite cluster competition (Spitzencluster-Wettbewerb) of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. We closely collaborate with two centers of excellence in Mainz (Institute of Translational Medicine, Institute of Molecular Biology).
The project focuses on small molecules for targeted chemo- and immunotherapy of cancer and cancer stem cells and involves cutting-edge techniques (microarray-based technologies, cloning. protein expression and crystallization, various confocal microscopical techniques).
The ideal candidate has a strong background in molecular biology and protein biochemistry. The establishment of techniques in the lab and the instruction of PhD students in an interdisciplinary team is expected.
We offer a stimulating scientific environment at an internationally competitive level. Funding is according to the German public service (TV-L E13) and will be available for 3 years. Extension is possible.
