Postdoctoral position at the Department of Biomedicine
At the University of Bergen, Department of Biomedicine, there is a temporary position available as a postdoctoral fellow for three years, financed by the Research Council of Norway. The project is called ”Targeting invasive and angiogenic mechanisms in human glioblastoma”. The postdoctoral fellow will be part of the Translational Cancer Research group.
Our research group is working on invasive mechanisms of human glioblastoma in vivo using a unique tumor animal model. The future goal is to target invasive and angiogenic mechanisms simultaneously for an efficient therapy. Please see our website http://www.neuroconcept.org for further information.

Qualifications and qualities
- The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. in cell biology or a related discipline, or have submitted her/his thesis by the application deadline. The thesis must be approved prior to hiring.
- The candidate should have a strong background in animal work, cell culture, flow cytometry, PCR, western blot and immunohistochemistry
- The candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Personal skills will be emphasized. The candidate should be able to work independently and interactively in a team setting, be motivated and responsible, and also have a great work capacity and enthusiasm for research
